Pat, a native St. Louisan, was a nationally ranked junior player before
spending four years at Washington University, two years on the men’s team
followed by two years on the women’s team. After college, Pat spent a year
working for Peter Burwash International teaching tennis in Hawaii.
After working at many area tennis clubs and being a part owner of West
Chester Tennis Club, Pat arrived as a USPTA teaching pro at CAC in 1997.
After 45 years on the court, she retired from teaching but is still a presence
at CAC, running the St. Louis Impact Team Tennis program and NTRP
tournaments, and training for her next National.
Pat returned to competitive play in her age division at the national level in
2010 and since that time has won 16 national titles (Gold Balls) and played
on two US winning World Cup teams in 2013 and 2018.
Pat is currently enshrined in three Hall of Fames: St. Louis Tennis, Missouri
Valley Tennis, and Washington University Sports.
